“Once there was a girl named Chris Who went to Bonita Bay to visit her sis As she sat by the pool, she chatted with a man she found pretty cool,” shared Joyce.

It all began in March 2023. A man named Phil, with a welcoming smile and an open heart, found his path crossing with Chris’s. Little did she know, her arrival would set off a chain of events that would change her life forever. Fast forward one year, and Chris, eager to see if Bonita Bay would be a good fit for her, rented a place in Wild Pines.

She had no sooner set foot in the community than Phil reached out and met her by the Hamptons pool. What followed was a whirlwind of memorable moments – breakfast the next morning at Dolly’s, followed by dinners, dancing on the stage, boat rides and conversations about their families and mutual interests.

When it was time for Chris to return to New Jersey, a beautiful bouquet of roses awaited her from Phil saying he missed her already. From this point forward, they were never separated for long.

The remainder of 2024 was filled with visits, family gatherings, and new relationships blossoming. They visited each other’s homes and met each other’s children and grandchildren. Chris was so excited to meet Phil’s daughters and get to know his grandchildren, and Phil’s grandchildren were equally excited to welcome new cousins into the fold. The couple soon discovered their shared love of travel, and together, they ventured to exciting destinations. By August, their bond was undeniable, and they were engaged and celebrated with a trip to Italy and London, Phil’s birthplace.

When it came to wedding planning, they both agreed Bonita Bay Club was the perfect place. Their beautiful wedding took place on February 15, 2025. Surrounded by their children, grandchildren, and cherished friends, the event was nothing short of magical. The love and joy were palpable, and it was clear that “the girl named Chis and the cool guy by the pool are a perfect match and it all started at Bonita Bay!” Joyce.
