FineMark Women’s Pro Tennis Championship Returns to Bonita Bay Club April 27 – May 3, 2026!

The player success from the FineMark Women’s Pro Tennis Championship has been amazing. Over 20 women who played in the US Open in 2025 have played in our tournament. Most players who play here are working their way to the pro tour. The winner of our tournament wins about $15,000. A player who lost in the first round of the US Open 2025 made $110,000. You can understand why they would want to be on the main tour! Here is the story of a few of the notable players that have played at Bonita Bay Club:
Coco Gauff – Coco played in the first FineMark Women’s Pro Tennis Championship in 2018. She was 15 years old and lost in the qualifying rounds. She never made it to the main draw. Her father said in an interview that the Bonita Springs 100 Tournament (FineMark Tournament) was the turning point for Coco. He said he told Coco that she either need to really focus and put the time in for the pro tour or just be a good club player. She choose the Pro Tour. Since then she has been ranked as high as #2 in the world and currently holds a ranking of #4 in the world. Go Coco!!
Leyla Fernandez – Leyla is another amazing player. She played in the first FineMark Tournament when she was 16 years old. She lost in the main draw. Leyla continued her tennis career and in 2021 was the US Open finalist losing to Emma Raducanu after defeating Sabalenka in the semifinals. In 2025 Leyla partnered with Venus Williams in the doubles at the US Open. It was sort of like playing with tennis royalty.
Taylor Townsend – Taylor Townsend played in 2019 when she was 23 years old. She lost in the main draw after a very good showing. She went on to beat number 5 in the world at the time Simona Halep. She served and charged the net, and Halep could not handle it. Taylor was ranked #1 in women’s doubles in July 2025. She has had a great career since playing here.
These are just a few of the amazing players we have hosted. Other notable players include: Lauren Davis, Caroline Dolehide, Ann Li, Maya Joint and Iva Jovic. Come on out and watch in 2026 and see the next stars of the Women’s Pro Tennis Tour.
