Unfortunatly many of us learned during Hurrican Ian that we were not as prepared as we thought we were when faced with a real emergency. While

AI Scammers
AI scammers are on the rise! The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) issued an alert in March warning people about emergency calls from family members using voice cloning, Artificial Intelligence, and they are now out in full force. Those primarily targeted are older adults with grandkids; however, everyone is susceptible. So beware!
The FTC recommends that if you need to confirm it’s a friend or relative, hang up and call them.
The FTC suggests that if someone who sounds like a friend or relative asks for money — particularly if they want to be paid via a wire transfer, cryptocurrency, or a gift card — you should hang up and call the person directly to verify their story.
