For more than a decade, Tom Weadock has been a quiet but powerful force behind the scenes—someone whose impact is felt long before it is ever recognized. As a dedicated member of Bonita Bay Club for over 12 years, Tom didn’t just participate in the life of the club; he helped shape it. Six years ago, when he stepped into the role of Chairman of the FineMark Women’s Pro Tennis Championship, he took on more than a title—he embraced a responsibility. Under his leadership, the tournament didn’t just continue, it flourished. Year after year, through thoughtful planning, steady guidance, and an unwavering commitment to excellence, Tom helped elevate the championship into something truly special. When the time came to honor him, Tom stood with humility. Accepting a plaque alongside signed tennis balls bearing the names of the tournament champions over the years, he turned the spotlight away from himself. He spoke of the volunteers, the many hands and hearts who make the event possible and credited them for the tournament’s success. He reminded everyone that it is people like them who make Bonita Bay Club such a special place. And by his side through it all was his wife, Ann, his rock, whose support and encouragement helped make his years of leadership possible. Tom’s legacy is not just in the success of the tournament, but in the spirit of gratitude, teamwork, and community he championed along the way. Tom, thank you for everything you have done. Your impact will be felt for years to come.
